Meninos Da Lagua - Retirolandia, Brazil

Meninos da Lagua was founded by Adelson Rodrigues, an entrepreneur that escaped poverty in the favellas of Brazil, as a means of giving back to the youth and those of limited economic resources, and promoting basic education in impoverished communities.

Meninos da Lagua provides free education to kids without means, but many of these children still struggle with a lack of basic healthcare, and are unable to complete school because of limited opportunity of addressing basic health issues like sight. In order to provide these children a better future, Adelson works with us to provide them access to corrective eyewear.

Apart from education, the children of the lake also work on keeping things green with reforestation projects; also giving back to the community by promoting art installations that take the place of graffiti and vandalism.
